Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Director of Accounting to lead our financial reporting efforts and drive process improvements across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our financial strategies, enhance internal controls, and provide critical insights to stakeholders. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team to create impactful change, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Financial Reporting Leadership: Oversee financial reporting to ensure compliance with US GAAP and accurate, timely disclosures.
+ Process & Systems Improvement: Lead the design and implementation of enhanced internal controls and financial systems to improve operational efficiency.
+ Month-End Close Management: Ensure smooth and efficient month-end close processes, aligning with company goals.
+ Strategic Financial Insights: Collaborate with business leaders and executives to provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decisions.
+ Finance Transformation Projects: Lead special projects focused on finance transformation, including process optimization and system-driven solutions.
+ Data Management: Ensure consistent and reliable financial data to meet reporting needs and business operations.
+ Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including parent company representatives, to ensure transparency and alignment in financial communications.
+ Innovation & Team Culture: Drive innovation within the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and positive engagement.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, including SEC reporting and month-end close activities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and proven ability to apply accounting principles to complex scenarios.
• Familiarity with financial systems and tools, such as OneStream, to support process improvements.
• Previous experience managing teams and providing leadership in accounting and finance roles.
• Background in a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions.
