Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Gahanna, Ohio. In the Associate Patient Care Coordinator position, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient registration, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering excellent service to patients and visitors. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient scheduling by verifying demographic and insurance details, ensuring all necessary information is accurately entered into the system.

• Greet and assist patients, vendors, and visitors, providing a welcoming and attentive environment.

• Handle inbound calls, offering information about the organization, scheduling appointments, and answering inquiries.

• Guide new patients through the completion of required forms and distribute informational packets as needed.

• Confirm patient insurance eligibility using available tools and update records accordingly.

• Collect and process account payments, ensuring accurate documentation and generating required reports.

• Manage and route incoming mail, publications, and correspondence in an efficient manner.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and HIPAA regulations, particularly in the handling of sensitive information.

• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and committees to stay updated on procedures and protocols.

Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.

• Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role is preferred.

• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling systems.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and knowledge of insurance verification processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.

• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
