    Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a CAO (Chief Accounting Officer) in Herndon, Virginia. The selected candidate will work within the industry, utilizing their skills in Accounting Functions, Financial Reporting, and Microsoft Excel to perform a range of tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the overall accounting functions within the organization.

    • Ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting to aid strategic decision making.

    • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation of financial information.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on financial regulations and standards.

    • Implement and streamline accounting systems and processes.

    • Monitor financial performance and report on financial metrics.

    • Collaborate with executive team members on strategic financial planning.

    • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations.

    • Develop plans for financial growth.

    • Evaluate and manage risk within the organization. Requirements

    • Detail oriented certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, is required

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial systems and controls

    • Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
