• Healthcare AR/Collections Specialist (Remote)

    Description

    We are seeking multiple detail-oriented and experienced healthcare Collections & Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialists to support a long-term collections project. This role is 100% remote, but candidates must be able to work standard business hours in the Pacific Time Zone.

     

    These candidate will support the Infusion and/or SNF departments with AR/Collections and strong claim follow up. The ideal candidate will have experience following up on high volume and aged and backlogged claims. You should have experience with both government and commercial insurances.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform detailed analysis and resolution of outstanding A/R balances

    + Manage insurance claim follow-up, appeals, and denials resolution

    + Review and reconcile patient accounts and insurance payments

    + Monitor aging reports and prioritize high-dollar or aged accounts

    + Submit accurate and timely claims to payers (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)

    + Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims with payers via phone, email, and online portals

    + Work cross-functionally with billing, coding, and clinical teams as needed

    + Maintain documentation of all actions taken and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

    + Assist in process improvement efforts for A/R workflows and collections

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of A/R experience in Home Health, Hospice, Post-Acute, or Long-Term Care settings

    + Epic system experience is highly preferred

    + Proven knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and payer guidelines

    + Strong understanding of insurance billing, claim processing, and appeals procedures

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

    + Ability to work independently in a remote setting

    + Must be able to work during Pacific Standard Time business hours
