Description We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Accounting to lead and oversee critical accounting operations within our organization. This role will involve managing key financial processes, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal and external audit standards. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting process delivery team to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

• Develop and implement robust policies and procedures for key accounting areas, including fixed assets, project costing, and financial reporting.

• Monitor and evaluate performance metrics, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvements.

• Ensure compliance with audit controls and support the development and maintenance of audit strategies.

• Partner with the corporate finance team to oversee initial consolidations of legal entities and related processes.

• Serve as the escalation point for high-level accounting approvals, such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Maintain and manage master data, including approving requests for data changes and setting system parameters.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with affiliates and business partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.

• Continuously improve accounting processes by adopting industry best practices and innovative solutions.

• Oversee period-end close activities, capital project accounting, and inventory analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a global organization.

• Strong expertise in accounting software systems, including BlackLine, Concur, and CRM tools.

• Proven ability to manage period-end closing activities and ensure timely financial reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in fixed asset accounting, intangible asset reporting, and intercompany transactions.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous process improvement.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various teams.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
