Description We are looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will manage various revenue-related functions, ensuring accuracy in sales reconciliation, deposit preparation, and cash management. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting expertise while contributing to the financial operations of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily retail and online sales, cash funds, and Accounts Payable purchase order receipts to ensure accurate records.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales and cash postings, including chargebacks and cash shortages or overages.

• Maintain and update records for Fund Development pledges and gifts, including tracking short-term, long-term, and pledge discount receivables.

• Support monthly financial close processes, adhering to all deadlines and reporting requirements.

• Address inquiries and issues related to sales and cash transactions in a timely and meticulous manner.

• Assist with annual financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Prepare and electronically transmit bank deposits to ensure timely processing.

• Set up and update customer profiles in accounting software to maintain accurate records.

• Reconcile bank statements to ensure alignment with internal financial records. Requirements • Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in cash management or a similar accounting role.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as EnterpriseOne, Excel, and Great Plains Dynamics.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to solve problems effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.

• Familiarity with accrual accounting, auditing processes, and accounts receivable functions.

• Experience with cash reconciliations and financial record-keeping.
