Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and processing payroll operations accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and efficiently using accounting software systems, ensuring all employees are paid on time.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including but not limited to tax information, benefits, and deductions.
• Handle payroll-related audits and ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Administer 401(k) and RRSP contributions, ensuring proper deductions and timely submissions.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries.
• Utilize systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce for payroll management.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of payroll data and identify potential errors.
• Support benefit administration processes, including updates and changes to employee plans.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports to assist with financial planning and compliance.
• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.
• Strong knowledge of 401(k) and RRSP administration processes.
• Familiarity with payroll auditing and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of benefit administration functions is a plus.
