Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities and ensure materials, equipment, and services are acquired efficiently for construction projects. This role is based in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services to ensure timely availability for construction projects.

• Monitor supply chain logistics and collaborate with accounting and operations teams to track deliveries and costs.

• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support cost-effective purchasing and reliable service.

• Assist in mobilization planning and jobsite coordination to streamline construction processes.

• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules.

• Utilize ERP systems, such as Epicor and Viewpoint Spectrum, to manage purchasing workflows and documentation.

• Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Support cost control initiatives by tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for savings.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align procurement activities with project needs.

• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and procurement guidelines.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor or Viewpoint Spectrum, for procurement and supply chain management.

• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including RFP and RFI requirements.

• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.

• Familiarity with construction materials procurement and logistics.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple teams.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical skills to optimize supply chain operations and control costs.
