If so, Robert Half is working with a growing company in Portland, Oregon, that's seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing full-cycle accounting functions and supporting the financial operations of the business. This position requires strong attention to detail, advanced QuickBooks Online experience, and the ability to train and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

+ Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger (GL) reconciliation.

+ Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

+ Maintain financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.

+ Assist with tax filings and reporting.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.

+ Deliver accurate financial insights and recommendations to business leaders.

+ Mentor junior team members on accounting best practices and QuickBooks Online functionality.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory position.

+ Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online—experience managing complex QuickBooks Online functions is a must.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

+ Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for details.

+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

+ Familiarity with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
