Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a contract position with a respected organization where you will design, implement, and maintain reliable and secure network systems. This role requires a technical expert capable of troubleshooting complex network issues and ensuring optimal network performance. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of networking concepts, the ability to adapt to diverse industries, and experience with cutting-edge tools and methods that address modern challenges, such as security, cloud integration, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design and Implementation: Develop network architectures to support the organization's operational and strategic goals, including secure connectivity across on-premises and cloud-based environments

+ Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Administer and monitor the performance of network systems, ensuring availability, cybersecurity, and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues while minimizing downtime

+ Security Management: Ensure compliance with privacy and data security standards by implementing safeguards to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats

+ Documentation and Reporting: Document network configurations, processes, and maintenance activities. Generate performance reports and insights to support team decision-making and strategy

+ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT security, data analytics, and applications development teams, to build an optimized network infrastructure

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of Network Engineering/Administration experience

+ Proficiency in network design and configuration, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless systems.

+ Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, etc.)

+ Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity principles and tools. CISSP or similar certifications preferred

+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex issues effectively.

+ Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools that complement network management

+ Exceptional communication skills to build collaboration across teams.
