Shift Assignment:

12 hr PM: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am (2/2/3 shift pattern)

Pay Rate – $26.25, with an additional $1.50 shift differential | Weekly pay period

Background & Purpose of the Job

The Facilities Technician will oversee and assist in palletizer, trolley car, wrapper, and overhead conveyor preventive maintenance (PM), as well as general facilities maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to: fire pump and riser inspections, boiler blowdowns, critical asset monitoring, lighting replacements, and more. The scheduled shift pattern is a 12 hour 2/2/3 shift pattern to allow for critical PMs to be performed during building shutdowns.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

+ Lead in upskilling our employees as we embrace the Raeford Ways of Working.

+ Foster a culture in which maintenance has a harmonious relationship with operations and logistics.

+ Work closely with both the warehousing and facilities maintenance teams to perform critical PMs. At times, other departments may need a helping hand in completing tasks that require multiple people, and other times, you will require the same.

+ Work as one team, flexing to whatever area is needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

+ You will help develop our palletizer team members, teaching them how to perform critical CILs and PMs, developing them into entry-level mechanics.

+ You will help develop time-based maintenance (TBM) plans and train the Palletizer operators on how to complete many of these routine tasks.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

+ High School diploma or GED equivalent

+ Electrically-Qualified: NFPA 70E arc-flash certification, demonstrated knowledge and qualifications working with up to 600V 3-Phase electrical equipment. Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting skills are highly desired (ControlLogix, Ethernet, etc.).

+ Pneumatics: Ability to troubleshoot and maintain industrial air compressors, diagnose and repair air leaks, replace pressurized air piping, and a strong knowledge of actuators, pneumatic valves, and cylinders. Ability to interpret a P&ID.

+ Hydraulics: Ability to troubleshoot and repair common issues such as cracked hoses, oil leaks, and faulty pumps.

+ General Construction: Knowledge of common construction tactics to ensure structurally-sound workmanship, including types of bracing, proper material selection, etc.
