    Responsibilities

    **Summary:** We are proud to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory, set amidst the beautiful Kansas City Metro. This groundbreaking green-field factory will serve as a pioneering hub for innovation in sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

     

    **Job Summary:** The Inventory Clerk – Level 1 is responsible for accurate data entry and recordkeeping of inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, production usage, and adjustments. This role supports inventory control through physical counts, discrepancy investigations, reporting, and coordination of month-end/year-end processes. The clerk ensures timely and accurate reporting, cross-functional communication, and adherence to quality, safety, and 6S standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting production supply needs, assisting internal teams with inventory-related inquiries, and maintaining compliance with plant policies and procedures.

    Essential Duties:

    Inventory Management & Data Entry

    + Perform accurate data entry for inventory receipts, transfers, production usage, and adjustments

    + Enter and track product lot codes, component usage, and inventory deductions in the system

    + Conduct weekly inventory reconciliations for spare parts

    + Maintain inventory balance reports, safety stock calculations, demand rates, and shortage summaries

    + Track cancelled and reduced purchase orders for scrap/recovery processes

    Physical Inventory & Reporting

    + Assist with monthly and year-end physical inventory counts

    + Verify physical stock counts against system records and investigate discrepancies

    + Ensure timely generation and distribution of inventory, production, shipping, and receiving reports

    + Maintain accurate records of quality issues, inspections, and deviations

    Cross-Functional Support

    + Communicate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve inventory or quality issues

    + Respond to inventory-related inquiries and support other departments and clients as needed

    + Order and maintain production supply materials as required

    Quality & Compliance

    + Report quality concerns or deviations to supervisors and engineering staff promptly

    + Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications

    + Follow all quality standards, safety protocols, and company policies (including 6S and PECNA standards)

    + Support training of team members at the same or lower level within the functional area

    Work Environment Requirements

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 6S principles

    + Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

    + Ability to meet physical demands and wear required PPE

    + Availability to work all scheduled shifts

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

    + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

    Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

    Education

    + Basic/Required: High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area

    + Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

    Essential Qualifications

    + 2+ years of relevant experience with inventory management and cycle counting

    + Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

    + Must be detail oriented

    + Must have a safety conscientious attitude

    + Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

    + Must be able to create reports in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Must be able to motivate team members, and work in a high performing team environment

    + Manufacturing experience preferred

    + Bilingual (Japanese) preferred

    + In the absence of a supervisor, must be able to make safe, business minded, conscientious decisions when issues arise

    + Ability to contribute positively to the daily work environment/department and work in a high performing team environment
