    Become a Training Management, Business Transformation and Readiness, Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll help optimize team performance and drive programmatic success by providing guidance and support for end user training and program team enablement. This includes helping to define, lead, and support execution of critical training strategies, plans, and deliverables. Additionally, this senior advisor will also independently manage related projects, identify performance strengths, gaps, and trends, establish and monitor KPIs, and perform other actionable activities to deliver an effective training program that helps ensure our operational and business partners enterprise-wide are trained and equipped with the knowledge and skills required to successfully perform and adopt the new technologies and process changes of the NextGen ERP program.

     

    The NextGen ERP program will span the next 5 years leveraging emerging digital solutions in concert with re-imagining and transforming our current processes and organization to make dramatic improvements to operational performance, as many companies are doing across industries. We are looking at an approach that not only upgrades the systems but also transforms our business processes to enhance efficiency, improve data quality, and provide better integrated decision making across the enterprise. We are currently in the implementation phase of a major ERP transformation program, leveraging a hybrid agile approach to motivate change. This effort goes beyond a system upgrade—it’s a fundamental redesign of our core financial processes. Our goal is to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and enable integrated, enterprise-wide decision-making. The Finance Integration track plays a critical role in delivering these outcomes.

    Focus of Role:

    + Training Program Strategy: Support training strategy execution (e.g. content development, coordination and logistics, training delivery, communications, evaluation, metrics development, and performance monitoring.)

    + Training Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of training program deliverables and work products (e.g. training curriculum, pilots, and data, train the trainer, proficiency, etc.)

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.

    + Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.

    + Analyze the current state of the organization and perform impact assessments around processes, systems, and culture, to identify areas for improvement.

    + Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of transformation initiatives.

    + Monitor and evaluate progress against targets, identifying areas of improvement and making necessary adjustments.

    + Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to gain support and alignment for the transformation efforts.

    + Serve as lead on implementation teams and the single point of contact for assigned technology workshops as well as oversee the development of tools, data readiness efforts, and processes needed to ensure a successful implementation of Asset Management principles and asset integration business planning

    + This position is expected to be a subject matter expert.

    + Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.

    + A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Ten or more years of business operations and/or transformation experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Two or more years of experience leading and/or supporting training functions, which may include training development, instructional design, training delivery, and/or learning technologies and models such as ADDIE or Enable Now, etc.

    + Experience leading major business transformations or large-scale projects, preferably those involving cross-functional teams, cross organizational business processes, and/or a hybrid agile/waterfall approach (e.g. CSRP, SAP ERP, S/4 HANA ERP full lifecycle implementations.)

    + Experience with Project Management, including managing scope, establishing key milestones, and overseeing their status and quality (e.g. recommend training objectives, prioritize critical tasks, manage timelines, budget, risks, etc.)

    + Two or more years of experience with organizational readiness tasks, such as technical and operational user readiness, or overall business readiness for successful deployment and post-deployment/ hypercare phases.

    + Exceptional collaboration, communication (both written and verbal), negotiation and influence skills to quickly build trust and engender buy-in from diverse groups.

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Training, or other related field.

    + Experience working in an Electrical Utility.

    + Experience supporting internal, CPUC, and/or other regulatory data requests and audit responses.

    + Experience advising, recommending, and implementing courses of action on process improvements, technology solutions, operational plans, or business strategies, often to Senior Management or Executive audiences.

    + Proven change agent and innovative problem solver with ability to influence change (e.g. identify innovative training techniques to help promote successful user adoption among diverse audiences through use of Generative AI and application of organizational readiness methodologies.)

    + Experience with and solid understanding of SAP/ ERP applications and modules, with understanding of related business processes and operating models spanning one or more business process domains

    Additional Information

    + This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

    + The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA (Pomona Innovation Village). However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time in other SCE locations.

    + Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

    + Relocation does not apply to this position.
