IT Network Support Specialist
Status : Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday Standard Office Hours; after-hours on-call requirement on a 5-week scheduled basis.
+ Some travel to other ConnectLife locations.
Salary Range* Exempt $60,406-$67,826 annually
*Salary will be commensurate with a combination of education and experience the candidate brings to the position.
Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred, OR
+ Industry certifications (A+ and N+), with 2+ years helpdesk experience.
Experience:
+ 2+ years equivalent work experience required.
+ Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Must have strong listening, and verbal communication skills including communicating with diverse individuals.
+ Must be detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Must have patience in solving problems with a continuous focus on customer service.
+ Experience working in a collaborative team environment strongly preferred.
+ Must maintain focus through interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
Required Physical Demands:
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
+ Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 10lbs. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs.
+ Occasional reaching forward, lateral, and overhead.
+ Continuous receiving detailed information through written, electronic, and oral communication.
+ Frequent clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.
+ Continuous talking, expressing, and exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication.

Essential Job Functions:
+ Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products.
+ Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity problems.
+ Analyze, diagnose, and resolve network problems for end users both on-site and off-site. Recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including repair.
+ Recommend, schedule, and perform repairs, upgrades, and improvements.
+ Maintain security solutions, including anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
+ Maintain/support company copy machines/printers. Work with vendors as necessary.
+ Provide support for cell phones as needed.
+ Install and support telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, call management systems, and voice mail.
+ Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for installations, including data, voice, and video systems.
+ Write technical specifications for purchase of networking hardware and software products as needed.
+ Collaborate with network administrators to implement network design topology installations, configurations, and policies.
+ Maintain servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
+ Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
+ Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend for purchase networking hardware and software products.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
+ Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory each quarter.
+ Prepare, maintain, and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring network data.
+ Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executables. Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, bi-annually.
+ Perform server and security audits.
+ Perform system backups and recovery.
+ Perform on call after hours support on rotating scheduled basis.
+ Maintain/obtain any necessary certifications required for the position as needed.
