Job Description

Performs the functions of an educator, facilitator, leader, and consultant in clinical area of expertise. Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education programs.

Job Responsibility

+ 1. Implements and evaluates educational programs, updates content for orientation, mentorship, competency, staff development and continuing education, based on current evidenced-based practice. Ensures compliance with local, regional, state, and national standards and guidelines for education.2. Creates an effective learning environment and leverages technological resources. Implements a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the learner's characteristics, learning needs, cultural and generational perspectives, and outcome objectives.3. Reports on outcomes of all educational series. Conducts surveys to gather feedback to improve future educational coursework and demonstrate program effectiveness. Makes recommendations for improvement to leadership.4. Participates in, and collaborates with, program accreditation activities and reporting.5. Collaborates, and maintains professional liaison, with internal and external groups.6. Maintain certification and continuing education records.7. May assist team members participating in applicable internal Clinical development programs.8. May collaborate with discipline specific leaders to develop and coordinate intern and fellowship programs. 9. Collaborates with department leaders on quality and performance improvement projects related to clinical education initiatives.10. Advocates for the professional development programs that support the needs of the learner and the organization11. Assists in ensuring facilities and equipment are set-up for teaching sessions. Provides educational and technical support for all simulation and clinical skills operations, including preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins as well as cross-training for the clinical skills lab

+ 12. Teaches and demonstrates the management and resuscitation of patients on adult, child and infant manikins. Demonstrates the use of various emergency medical services equipment.13. Job Qualification

+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience, required.

+ Current Paramedic Certification in New York State, and Current Basic Life Support Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification, and Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

+ 5-7 years of relevant experience.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $75,020-$126,250/year
