    Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for the analysis of product, process, equipment and method issues at designated stages of product development and manufacturing

    + Lead and support action to prevent and reduce all costs associated with poor quality.

    + Work to maximize product conformance to specified requirements while ensuring best possible manufacturability.

    + Employ Quality Engineering, Lean and Six Sigma methods / tools to in order to maintain and improve process and product quality.

    + This position reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.

    Qualifications:

    + This position requires a four-year college degree plus 5 years experience.

    + ASQ (or equivalent) Certified Quality Engineer certification and Six Sigma GreenBelt certification highly desired.

    + Excellent computer literacy, word processing skills (MS Word) and spreadsheet skills (MS Excel) is needed for this position.

    + Knowledge of databases (MS Access) is desired.

    + Certain technical skills and training, such as quality tools and techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are required.

    + Good Problem Solving skills (8D) are also required.

    + The incumbent should have good communication skills, the ability to work effectively with people and the personal drive/sense of urgency necessary to provide needed support in the time frames demanded.
