Job Overview-

Oncology APN, will be utilized in the clinic for pre-treatment, follow-up, benign hematology, new patient visits, POLST, advanced care planning, and palliative care,

You will provide collaborative physician-based care with appropriate levels of autonomy. A focus on high quality and safety in critical to support this high-risk patient population and deliver beyond standard of care to their patients and families.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ Graduate from Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

+ Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey.

+ Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program

+ BLS and ACLS certified.

+ 1-2 years hem/malignancy experience must.

+ CDS and DEA.

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Full time Days

+ 40 Hours

Essential Functions:

+ Performs comprehensive initial and episodic health assessments in order to identify existing or potential health problems.

+ Initiates and implements individualized nursing and medical plan of care in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary team

+ Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians

+ Provides follow up care including, acute and routine examinations

+ Assesses progress, identify problems, initiate preventive measures, recognizes emergent problems and initiates proper care in collaboration with physicians

+ Monitors and adjusts patients medication according to protocol or medical plan of care including adequate pain control.
