    Job Overview:

    RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Care Coordinator, Registered Nurse for our Gamma Knife Radiation Oncology Department at the New Brunswick campus.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + BSN

    Preferred:

    + OCN or MUST be obtained within 2 years of hire date

    + ACLS and PALS or MUST be obtained within 2 years of hire date

    Certifications and Licenses Required:

    + BLS

    + Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

    Scheduling Requirements:

    + Day Shift

    + Monday Friday

    + FT

    Essential Functions:

    + The radiation oncology nurse coordinator is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes clinical responsibility for a specific caseload of patients.

    + Working under the direction of a physician, the radiation oncology nurse specialist: accesses the patients past history and current condition.

    + Establishes and monitors the family goals and outcomes,

    + Coordinates, monitors and evaluates patient care in the outpatient setting,

    + Accesses and implements patient/family education and home care needs.

    + Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to access each patient s age specific needs and age specific treatment and care for the pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric population.
