About the Role:
The Independent Review and Challenge team is expanding and seeking experienced professionals with expertise in supervision, regulation, risk, and controls. This is a unique contract opportunity to be at the forefront of Transformation and Remediation initiatives, with significant exposure to senior management. You will provide critical review and challenge for key regulatory remediation deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide effective review and challenge for critical regulatory remediation deliverables, including responses, plans, outcomes, programs, and key global deliverables in financial risk (credit, market, liquidity) and model risk management.
+ Perform critical analysis and independent review of regulatory responses and remediation initiatives to identify critical gaps before formal submission to regulators.
+ Act as an advisor and provide guidance to business, finance, and risk management on regulatory responses, remediation plans, and program implementation.
+ Ensure regulatory remediation programs clearly articulate risk reduction and demonstrate an enhanced control environment with evidence of design and operational effectiveness.
+ Actively engage stakeholders, ensuring close collaboration across the Bank.
+ Improve the comprehensiveness and completeness of regulatory responses, remediation programs, and global key deliverables by providing constructive feedback, identifying weaknesses, and escalating critical issues.
+ Be a strong team player, contributing to critical regulatory initiatives in a timely manner.
Skills You’ll Need:
+ Extensive experience in the financial services industry or a consulting firm (risk and controls, audit, regulatory remediation/quality assurance, etc.) or regulatory agencies (e.g., FRB, OCC, FDIC) as a bank examiner.
+ Significant experience reviewing and challenging regulatory responses, remediation action plans, and closure documentation.
+ Significant experience interpreting regulatory rules and regulations (e.g., SR letters, FFIEC, EBA, PRA guidelines) particularly in market, liquidity, and credit risk management, regulatory capital, and model risk management.
+ Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate them timely and effectively.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present and effectively articulate your views to senior management.
+ Critical and analytical thinker with attention to detail.
+ Strong conflict management skills.
+ Comfortable challenging ideas, communicating technical intricacies transparently and concisely, and working in a global and dynamic environment.

**Pay Details:** $166.00 per hour
