    Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

     

    As a **Senior Paralegal, HR/Employment Law** , you will work closely with attorneys and HR professionals to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations globally, provide legal facilitation in employee relations matters, help to manage outside counsel budgeting and litigation management, and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. In particular, you will be assisting with legal research, drafting legal and training documents, and managing case files. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the legal team and contribute to the overall success of the organization. You will report directly to the Chief Labor and Employment Counsel located in Morris Plains, NJ and provide support for the global Labor and Employment Law and Investigations team.

     

    Your expertise in HR and employment law will be essential in maintaining a fair and respectful work environment and mitigating legal risks.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Support the Chief employment law/litigation attorneys with respect to global litigation matters, legal facilitation in employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, reductions in force, grievances, and responses/resolution of disputes and charges.

    + HR policy updates, updates and version control of various form agreements and processes, assist with employee relations documentation, letter drafting, and creating/updating employee/HR training materials.

    + Serve as first point of contact for government agencies on charges and complaints, issue document preservation notices, coordinate with HR and outside counsel on litigation and discovery matters.

    + Perform first level review of materials submitted for attorney-review and advice including termination requests and restrictive covenant agreements.

    + Receive and respond to employment-related and employee benefits-related subpoenas and requests for information.

    + Help set-up and maintain a world-class Employment Law and Investigations function for Solstice Advanced Materials. Partner with the attorney(s) on the entire process from internal complaints through resolution or external litigation, including records and file keeping and reporting to leadership.

    + Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

    + Conduct legal research and thoughtful analysis on employment laws and regulations

    + Assist in drafting and reviewing employment-related documents, such as contracts, agreements, and policies, as well as trainings for internal audiences.

    The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + 5+ years of experience as a paralegal

    + Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations and prior experience in this subject area

    + Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

    + Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple competing time-sensitive priorities, and judgment and discretion to handle sensitive and confidential information

    WE VALUE

    + Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field

    + Paralegal certification or equivalent qualification

    + Experience in employment litigation and administrative proceedings

    + Prior in-house corporate experience, preferably at a large global organization

    + Strong communication and people-oriented skills

    + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

    + Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements

    + Strong knowledge of legal research and writing

    + Proficiency in legal software and databases

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team
