The Director provides operational oversight and coordination for all hospital Information Technology processes and resources. Develops long and short term strategies to support Network Operations for IT Systems supporting the applications in their domain.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for Strategy and the IT systems and Teams supporting the applications in their domain.
+ Overseas the vendor selection process, contract management, implementation and support conforming to the IT policy and procedures.
+ Participated in development of a network-wide plan for information system implementation on a fiscal year basis and also participates in the IT strategic planning process.
+ Responsible for oversight of system design, development, implementation and maintenance for all Information Technology systems in the scope of the role.
+ Coordinates multidisciplinary project teams, serves as a project leader on select projects, and is responsible for monitoring of progress for IT related implementations.
+ Serves as an internal consulting contact for management with regard to information technology issues.
+ Maintains IT Disaster Recovery Plan & serves as coordinator of the Disaster Recovery Team.
+ Participates in IT Capital Budget process, developing requirements for IT, is responsible for development and oversight of IT operating budget for all campuses.
+ Oversees payment of invoices for all IT related projects and regular operating expenses.
+ Trains manager/supervisors to make day-to-day decisions in their area of responsibility and develops recommendations for improvements in their operational areas.
+ Coordinates regular meetings of IT management staff assuring good communication processes.
+ Maintains current knowledge of technology and healthcare environment by attending appropriate continuing education seminars, user groups, and reading related periodicals.
+ Maintains strict confidentiality with regard to all aspects of operation of the Information
+ Technology Department.
+ Acts as a Business Relationship Manager to the operational users in their domain.
+ Maintains applications with regulatory compliance.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years of hospit a l s y stem/d a ta e x p e ri e n c e required
3-5 years of su p e rviso r y e x p e ri e n c e required
