Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Office Manager to oversee and accurately track lumber inventory using Excel. This role involves conducting physical counts of lumber across a sprawling 10-acre property, managing over 7 million feet of lumber, and verifying that truck loads are correct and match inventory records. Additionally, the Office Manager will be responsible for managing production reporting, working with operators to audit and maintain accuracy, calculating waste to ensure efficient use of resources, and performing daily audits to check for errors.
Responsibilities
+ Accurately count and track lumber inventory using Excel.
+ Conduct physical counts of lumber across a 10-acre property.
+ Manage over 7 million feet of lumber.
+ Verify that truck loads are correct and match inventory records.
+ Manage production reporting and collaborate with operators to audit accuracy.
+ Calculate waste to ensure efficient use of resources.
+ Check reporting for errors and perform daily audits as needed.
+ Perform basic math calculations to calculate board measurements and plant supplies accurately.
+ Assist with phones, email inbox, and other clerical tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Excel and other inventory management software.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and tracking inventory.
+ Excellent mathematical skills for precise calculations.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Previous experience in office management or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of inventory tracking, shipping & receiving, warehouse inventory, and cycle counts.
+ Experience in office management, scheduling, and coordinating.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
+ Experience in purchasing and assisting in the manufacturing industry.
Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a blue-collar environment. You will have the ability to own reporting and streamline systems as desired.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
