    Responsibilities

    Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced wound care nurse. This is a 0.9 FTE. 8-hour shifts. Schedule will be (5) 8 hour shifts per week the first week of the pay period followed by (4) 8 hour shifts the second week.

     

    We are looking for a clinical expert who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for patients with ileostomies, colostomies, and urinary diversions. Functions as a consultant for patients with altered skin integrity, including pressure ulcers and complicated wounds. In addition, the Enterostomal Therapy RN will:

     

    + Develop and implement individualized wound care plans

    + Clean and dress wounds, ensuring sterile techniques are followed

    + Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary

    + Educate patients and their families on wound care best practices and infection prevention

    + Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care

    + Stay updated with the latest wound care research, techniques, and products

    Qualifications

    + Current Washington state licensure as an RN

    + CPR certification is required every two years

    + Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

    + Experience managing simple and complex wounds & ostomies is strongly preferred.

    + Board certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) is preferred. Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records

    Pay Range

    $45.75 - $77.27 /hour
