    Responsibilities

    + Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to trauma and general surgery patients under the supervision and responsibility of a Physician.

    + Participates in education development and growth of St. Josephs Trauma and General Surgery Service.

    + Supervises other physician assistants.

    + Works closely with the administrative and clinical directors for the Trauma Service Program to ensure quality and regulatory compliance in provision of clinical services.

    + Works with the rotating trauma resident programs to ensure proper orientation and transition into the trauma team.

    + Assists in overseeing the trauma residents in their trauma rotation.

    Qualifications

    3-5 years of Orthopedic PA or NP experience

     

    Demonstrated leadership abilities

     

    General and trauma surgery experience

     

    Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

     

    OR 1st Assist Experience Therapeutic Procedures - (central lines chest tubes suturing I&D's interpretation of radiographic imaging)

Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic, research and leadership roles.     Pay Range

    $62.51 - $90.64 /hour
