Responsibilities

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Setup and run work lines according to the job specific requirements and ensures that the correct materials are used according to the job docket.

• Perform small repairs, PM and autonomous maintenance duties.

• Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging.

• Complete forms as assigned in a timely manner.

• Quickly notifies operator and/or supervisor of quality issues as they arise.

• Ensure assigned work cell meets housekeeping, sanitation and GMP requirements.

• Work in a team with others including but not limited to mechanics, packers, technicians, lead packer, material handler and supervisor to resolve problems.

• Train other wrap employees.

• Participate in continues improvement projects.

• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Conduct all actions in a safe manner. Zero safety infractions in last 12 months.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is also required

• Must also be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work independently as well as working with others effectively as a part of a team is essential

• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills; ability to work well in group situations; ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.

• Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as need

Located 16 miles south west of Chicago, Bedford Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 580 at the 2010 census. Bedford Park consists of a small residential area and vast amounts of heavy industry sprawling to the east and a small amount to the west.

Pactiv Bedford Park is a leading Extrusion/Injection Molding facility that produces plates, straws, cutlery, and wrapped cutlery kits for the food service industry. Built in 1974, our facility has 195,000 total square footage. We host 90 machines including Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Automated Robotic instruments. We produce approximately 75 million pounds annually and over 400,000 SKUs.
