Description

Our customer is looking for a Network/Database Administrator to support a 6 month contract.

The Network / Database Administrator will:

+ Identifies and resolves wireless system deficiencies, triage service impacts and determine root cause.

+ Develops and implements approved methods of procedure. Apply software/firmware patches as determined. Implements wireless network improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS-

+ Data analysis skills; robust experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Microsoft Excel.

+ Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).

+ Proficient knowledge of IP routing, routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, as well as enabling and troubleshooting protocols and platforms such as DHCP, DNS, and Wireless network requirements.

+ Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols.

+ Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.

+ Education - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Related Work Experience 2 - 5 years wireless network experience.

+ Demonstrable experience troubleshooting wireless network and infrastructure system impacts, with a keen ability to quickly assess and resolve wireless service impairments.

+ Working knowledge of Splunk, Netscout (nG1, nBA, nSA, Ngenius Pulse), Cisco Matrix, Wireshark, and additional network monitoring, packet analysis, and analytics tools.

+ Education- Cisco Certified Wireless Network Associate (CCNA), Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
