Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a **Category Specialist – Appliances!**
**The Category Specialist** will be responsible for supporting the profitable growth of the **Appliance Category** . This associate will support the enterprise strategy for appliances across all business and channels. This position will report into the Director of Category Management – Appliances.
Location:
This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ location, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote. May require more time in the office initially for training and onboarding.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
+ Help resolve vendor-related problems regarding performance, service, timing, quality, quantity, delivery, industry, and more.
+ Assist in pricing strategy development and execution.
+ Maintain and update vendor price files.
+ Build an ongoing awareness of industry trends.
+ Integrate products and categories across Ferguson’s sales channels as needed.
+ Ensure vendor program and product information is accurate and available to Ferguson’s sales and management teams.
+ Develop and execute internal reporting for the category.
+ Interact with multiple internal teams to implement category strategy and support supplier programs.

Sets day-to-day objectives and deliver job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures.
Preferred Technical and professional skills:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field is preferred
+ Ability to organize and prioritize work.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
+ Able to manage priorities and get tasks accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Possesses intermediate MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.
+ Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
+ Highly motivated and customer service oriented.

Pay Range:

$3,600.00 - $5,866.30
