    Position Overview and Responsibilities:

    This Personnel Services Specialist/CBJA–SES is in the Bureau of Human Resource Management. This position will be responsible for the coordination and processing of all organizational management functions and the new hire /onboarding process.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Position duties require a thorough working knowledge of the Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, Personnel rules of the Department of Management Services (DMS) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    • Advanced skills in utilizing People First and other system applications in terms of positions, funding, and organizational management.

    • Applicants must have strong organizational and administrative skills.

    • Ability to conduct research and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions and make informed recommendations for action.

    • Ability to analyze data, organize in a logical format and apply to work assignments.

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting and possess experience in coordinating work assignments.

    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and utilize problem-solving techniques.

    • Must have the ability to provide excellent customer service.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must possess at least 3 years of verifiable related work experience with the State of Florida Personnel System in classification or organizational management .

    • Must possess experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.

    • Must possess experience using the People First System.

    Position of Special Trust Requirement:

    This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

    Pay:

    $48,000 to $51,500 commensurate with work experience.
