Overview
Senior IM Claims leader responsible for strategy development and execution to drive Claims program objectives and enhancements in alignment with enterprise purpose initiatives, values and contractual claim handling obligations.
You will
+ Develop, communicate and drive strategy for IM Claims in partnership with Claims Senior leadership and key business partners.
+ Drive model enhancements that deliver an industry leading and properly resourced risk management approach.
+ Be a trusted partner to senior department leadership and lead key enterprise driven objectives, involving product and risk experience.
+ Leverage deep claims expertise to meet market demands through innovative thinking and precision execution.
+ Remain a steward for risk management, claim investigation and talent development and training necessary to maintain quality claims solution delivery.
+ Establish broad enterprise-wide partnerships to expand IM Claims’ impact on the customer journey and alignment with the brand story.
+ Educate and align IM Claims colleagues around an industry leading claims experience and drive continuous improvement.
+ Actively manage a team of Ambassadors to deliver on strategic and tactical plans.
+ Remain informed of environmental and industry trends by monitoring industry news and pertinent research reports.
Reporting Relationship
+ This position reports to the Head of Claims, Individual Markets who, in turn, reports to the Head of Individual Disability, Multi-Life and President of Berkshire Life.
You have
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 10+ years of leadership experience and claims experience.
+ Significant insurance industry experience in product and/or claims.
+ Broad knowledge of insurance industry trends and regulations.
+ Ability to work independently and across multiple teams and disciplines.
+ Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
+ Ability to develop cross-business connections and build collaborative relationships.
+ Ability to convey complex information and persuade diverse stakeholders and negotiate to a common goal.
+ Guardian or insurance industry products, systems and business expertise preferred.

Salary Range:
$97,140.00 - $159,585.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
