    Position Overview

    As a Disability Product and Business Technology Consultant you will be a member of the team who supports Business and Technology Leadership. You will be responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying areas for improvement, and designing technology solutions by translating business requirements into technical specifications. You will be a technology expert on our internal and external systems and will provide your expertise during the design and development of our Products and Applications to ensure our systems can illustrate, code, underwrite, issue, and administer a policy.

    + Exceptionally adept at developing strong, credible business relationships at all levels and building consensus among multiple partners/cross functional teams with competing interests

    + An individual with a blend of business analysis, communication, and technical skills that enable you to develop business, technology, and production support strategies for the systems that support our products.

    + An individual who can work with a high level of independence and exercise independent judgement, while maintaining clear and thorough communication with leadership.

    You Will:

    + Analyze and evaluate existing Disability systems to identify, document, prioritize opportunities for improvement, and present recommendations to key business stakeholders and leadership.

    + Work with development teams to ensure the designed system is implemented according to specifications to meet the needs of our products.

    + Balance the needs of multiple business areas in identification and articulation of technical or procedural solutions.

    + Create, update, communicate, and implement procedures and documentation.

    + Leverage requirement techniques to gather business requirements including focus groups, workshops, document analysis, and interviews.

    + Define solutions that meet the prioritized business requirements based upon knowledge of products, business environment, and high-level understanding of technology potential.

    + Provide technical support to multiple business areas

    You have:

    + 1+ years of experience in financial services or technically diverse environment – insurance experience preferred.

    + Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

    + Familiarity with agile and waterfall implementation methods.

    + Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

    + Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) – expert Excel experience a plus.

    + Strong Adobe Acrobat Professional skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand business processes.

    + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

     

    Location

     

    Onsite, with 3 days a week at Guardian in Pittsfield, MA

    Salary Range:

    $57,810.00 - $86,715.00

     

    The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
