    Description

    The relationships that WTW enjoys with its carrier / vendor and solution partners within the Health and Benefits (H&B) segment are a key component to our success and the success of our clients. As a Carrier / Vendor Relationship manager you will be responsible for managing the business and financial relationship with specific insurance carriers, vendors and solution providers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

     

    + Developing and maintaining H&B relationships with various carriers / vendors and solution providers.

    + Learn about and share the strategic objectives and service developments of carriers / vendors to key WTW H&B stakeholders

    + Leverage relationships with carrier / vendor leadership to assist H&B client delivery and placement teams with complex issues

    + Utilize negotiation skills to update key financial agreements with carrier and vendor partners

     

    This role has emerged as a result of the H&B Transformation program and our increased ambition to drive better results for our clients and employees. It is a full-time colleague role and will report to the North American Carrier/Vendor Relations and Placement Leader.

    The Role

    + Own the Health and Benefits enterprise-wide carrier / vendor relationship for all products and market solutions as assigned

    + Maintain pulse on product and carrier / vendor developments, documents and communicate to appropriate internal teams and stakeholders

    + Manage and maintain partner relationships, with the goal of providing the most competitive, value-added market position for WTW clients

    + Manage and negotiate the financial arrangements with key carrier and vendor partners.

    + Review and work to be sure the financial agreements are being administered as stated

    + Serve as senior level escalation point for carrier / vendor issues and drive solutions

    + Support and promote WTW business objectives related to carrier & vendor relations, for example, panels

    + Assist and advise on elements of proprietary product builds for WTW

    + Partner with H&B leadership to serve as the “face of WTW” to the market

    + Develop and execute on strategic plans with top partners

    + Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to navigate service concerns and drive resolution; assist with RFI and NDA process when needed

    + Coordinate with internal stakeholders and organize stewardship meetings with key partners

    + Identify opportunities to support innovation with partners for WTW client delivery teams

    + Other duties as assigned, such as people management

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    + 10+ years of experience and success within the insurance industry with preference to experience at a national brokerage organization and/or carrier

    + Proven ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships with national carriers / vendors to include carrier stewardship

    + Experience in collaborating with multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget while following company excellence policies; adhere to a strict code of integrity in business dealings

    + Executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills

    + Superior ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization

    + Deep understanding of regulatory compliance related to benefit plans, ERISA, DOL and other related regulatory issues

    + Experience and knowledge of insurance business practices, policies, and professional standards within the industry and company

    + Availability to travel 20 – 30%

    + Bachelor’s degree required

    + Hold a valid insurance license or be willing to obtain within the first year of employment for life and health coverage in state of residence

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

     

    Compensation

     

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $165,000 - $185,000 USD per year.

     

    This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
