Description:

We are looking for a full stack (backend focused) Java expert able to do the designing and developing high performance systems including APIs, Event Driven and Data feeds, our goal over the next 2-3 years is to enhance the services / channels we use with our customers, your role will be to improve the digital experience (I.E. mobile / web applications) and work alongside business leaders, product owners, agile/scrum teams, and make sure we're building applications based on market / customer feedback so we can engineer critical and scalable technologies that can be shared across multiple business groups internally / externally

_Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._

_Rate: $68 - $72 / hr. w2_

Responsibilities:

Develop software with Java, Spring Boot, API, and AWS

Experience Requirements:

MUST HAVE:

10+ years of experience with Java/Spring (including strong API / Spring Boot / MVC / Spring Core)

Ability to work with open source streaming products, middleware (messaging / Kafka tools) and stream processing

Strong skills with AWS (EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, EC2)

Able to design new APIs (Versioning, isolation, and microservices)

Able to work with both unit testing tools and testing frameworks / automation

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science required (or any equivalent engineering degree with experiences in algorithms, data structures, and at least 2 object oriented or functional programming languages with a preference for Java)
