Join a team that keeps us protected and mission-ready - BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Process Improvement Chemical Engineer to help us produce energetic materials for our government and commercial customers. An ideal candidate will have a degree in chemical engineering and an interest in process controls and hands-on engineering problem solving.

As a process engineer, you will:

+ Provide process engineering support to the Explosives Manufacturing division.

+ Develop new and redline existing Process & Instrumentation Diagrams.

+ Develop new and redline existing interlock narratives.

+ Ensure production schedules are met in accordance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

+ Facilitate and/or support process improvement projects, maintenance efforts, and modernization projects.

+ Provide technical assistance and process troubleshooting for equipment and operational issues. Some on call technical support required.

+ Develop new and update existing operating procedures. Assist with traning efforts on new or changed procedures.

+ Interact with customers and suppliers.

+ Lead/support Process Hazard Analysis for new and existing processes.

+ Develop and implement safety, quality, and process improvements in accordance with management of change requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline.

+ 3 or more years of chemical engineering experience.

+ Ability to work with a team in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.

+ Experience in troubleshooting process issues, management of change, process hazard analysis.

+ Experience in recrystalllization, drying, or packaging.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
