Work Schedule:

+ Primarily daylight hours with 8 and 12-hours shifts!

+ Rotating Saturday overnight coverage.

+ Occasional coverage for weekend daylight and weekday overnight hours, as needed, to cover staff vacations.

+ Infrequent on-call hours, if needed.

Responsibilities:

+ Covers call and off-shifts on a rotational basis.

+ Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures to assist in a patient’s medical diagnosis.

+ Displays knowledge of equipment operations, anatomy, and scanning techniques resulting in optimized image data/documentation.

+ Documents and considers patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings.

+ Ensures all exams are properly coded and networked through appropriate systems, and ensures all charges are correct for exams performed.

+ Assists with training staff, student sonographers, and physicians.

+ May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and/or equipment.

+ Demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.

+ Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required, or RDMS registered.

+ Must have completed Physics portion of RDMS registry.

+ 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ RDMS Registered or registry eligible.

+ Must obtain RDMS in Pediatric Ultrasound within 24 months of hire date.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire.

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
