    How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

     

    As a Project Manager – Fibre Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of our customer’s network infrastructure in support of the network fibre services (fiber delivery, dark fibre testing, analysis and data collection, site surveys, etc.) in accordance with planned deployment timeframes contractually negotiated by the customer. The essential function of the role is to act as the service provider to a CommScope customer managing all practical aspects of the CommScope testing and delivery team and will be expected to meet all customer expectations regarding technical skills, performance, and policy compliance.

     

    You will be managing the day-to-day associated deliverables (and customer meetings) - handling demanding situations, keeping projects on track, ensuring that vendors meet standards, resolving issues, working with internal staff and stakeholders, helping CommScope teams/vendors buy into and work towards common goals and deadlines.

     

    You will work closely with the customer technical delivery teams to understand the terms of new network deliveries and arrangements including delivery targets and technical requirements. Project Managers also work closely with internal project management teams to communicate target completion dates and ensure that all internal requirements are being met in a timely manner.

     

    This role will be based in Colorado.

    You Will Make an Impact By

    + Manage the delivery of large-scale network infrastructure projects involving dark fiber, , and inside plant fiber from inception through delivery. Ensure facilities are delivered on schedule and meet technical specifications.

    + Proficient in the reading & understanding of dark fiber planning documents, with the ability to act on the conditions set out within the planning documents.

    + Good understanding of interconnectivity requirements within carrier hotels, data centres and other leased facilities.

    + Strong knowledge of fiber characterization, fiber types, physical interfaces, connector types.

    + Assist upstream planning, design, and acquisition teams surveying developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.

    + Manage project scope changes, including drawings and revisions to Visio floorplans and as-builts.

    + Serve as secondary customer contact for these activities during implementation phase. Escalate up customer management chains as necessary if delivery timelines are at risk.

    + Lead kickoff and regular project status meetings while keeping downstream teams apprised of project and delivery status. Manage exceptions and communicate issues and risks to the rest of the organization.

    + Obtain, distribute, and maintain all customer handover documentation. i.e., Floorplans, LOA/CFA, DLR, Completion notification, test results, and technical drawings while working with customer and CommScope staff to coordinate and facilitate service and site acceptance activities.

    Required Qualifications for Consideration

    + BS degree in technical field or equivalent practical experience.

    + 5 years’ experience in a telecom-related field

    + Extensive technology-related project management experience in a data network environment.

    + Dark Fiber Analysis practices

    + Providing critical analysis on vendor's fiber network data handover packages

    + Use of industry standard software to assist (i.e., EXFO FastReporter3)

    + Build reports from the required field test data (using FastReporter3)

    + OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) traces

    + CD/PMD

    + Power measurement/Span Loss

    + ORL

    + Fiber End Face validation

    + Management of project financials and team labour and expense accruements

    You Will Excite Us If You

    + Experienced in the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure and space and dark fibre from third-party suppliers.

    + Knowledge of Dark Fiber Delivery.

    + Deep understanding of interconnectivity requirements within carrier hotels, data centres, and other leased facilities including physical interfaces, cable types, connector types and riser details.

    + Excellent organizational, project-management and communication skills

     

    The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, paid vacation (prorated based on start date), and other leave options.

     

    Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $76,000.00-$97,000.00
