    Meaningful Work From Day One

    This position supports and is critical to a variety of roles within the Distillery and Warehouse to facilitate smooth and efficient daily operations, including:

    + Responsibility for by-products sales and shipment.

    + Responsibility for the Old Forester single barrel program.

    + Purchasing whole grains and bulk chemicals.

    + Inventory control of raw materials and finished goods

    + Monthly governmental compliance reporting.

    + SAP vendor management.

    What You Can Expect

    + Responsible for over $3M in annual by-products sales: Includes daily communications with customers, brokers, and freight companies to ensure smooth flow of shipments. Determines weekly volumes, locates buyers, and negotiates prices. Prepares sales invoices and sends upload spreadsheets and invoice copies to BF Credit Department for SAP entry. Tracks all sales and inventories and reports to BF management on a monthly basis. Completes all annual state feed registrations and quarterly sales reports in a timely manner. Prepare all ATF paperwork for daily production and transfer to Warehouse. Maintain regular communications with Cistern Room and Warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.

    + Coordinate with BF commodities Manager in purchasing over $24M of whole grains for the Distillery’s annual whisky production: Tracks incoming inventory of raw materials, reconciles ticket weights, and verifies receipt entry to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors.

    + Act as Buyer for Distillery: Places direct orders, issues purchase orders to departmental managers upon request, enters all data in SAP, and resolves invoice issues with vendors.

    + Manages tax exemptions for vendors and purchases

    + Tracks and reports all whisky production: Daily calculations of gauge and government gallons, yields, average barrel fills. Accurately completes all compliance DOT and BATF paperwork.

    + Accurate and timely preparation of various reports to internal and external contacts: Monthly internal reports include distillery production, by-product sales, and grain inventories.

    + Generates external reports including Monthly report of Production Operations to BATF.

    + Serve as primary Distillery contact: Provides assistance and directions to visitors i.e. vendors, customers, and truckers.

    + Plan and coordinate various Distillery social events and tours (annual retiree luncheon, employee retirement parties, etc).

    + Responsible for all activities related to the sampling and inventory of the Old Forester Single Barrel Program at the Brown-Forman Distillery. This program includes coordinating, preparing, delivering, and shipping Old Forester Single Barrel samples and Inventory Management of the Single Barrels in our Warehouses. Work closely with the Personal Selection Market Manager, Brown-Forman Distillery, and Old Forester Distillery production teams.

    + Ensure all single barrel samples are in the market before the first of the allocation month and in compliance with local rules and regulations.

    + Maintain inventory of shipping supplies required for the program.

    + Coordinate delivery of single barrels to Old Forester Distillery for the By the Barrel Host and the bottling team as required.

    What You Bring to the Table

    + Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years related work experience in a production, distribution or warehousing environment OR 3 - 5 years work experience in a production, distribution or warehousing environment.

    + Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships.

    + Strong customer service skills.

    + Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with regulatory agency personnel and personnel at all levels of management, both internal and external.

    + Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

    + Demonstrated ability and experience operating a PC, with specific experience and proficiency with business-related software.

    + Demonstrated Office Management/Administrative skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality around business transactions/negotiations

    + Proficient in Google Suite

    + Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and climb stairs
