As our Field Service Technician– you will report to the Field Service Supervisor. On a given day, you may: Mechanical Service: Maintain records and reports by submitting them to the service coordinator promptly. Order or report parts shortages and maintain or help keep an orderly stockroom. Assist other service technicians with major mechanical changes on leased or sold equipment. Deliver L/M parts and equipment to customer plants as directed by service management. Manage equipment overhaul so that performance will be to JBT and customer standards and completed within a schedule. Customer Relations: Maintain a positive business relationship with external customers to keep open productive relationships for the advancement of JBT's service support. Work with internal customer (JBT departments and personnel) to assure from the customer site to JBT. Have knowledge of customers' machinery and processes used in fruit processing, that which is included in a service agreement. Requirements for the role Strong mechanical/electrical background with 2 years of field experience and customer interaction. Knowledge of drawings, blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical assembly's etc. 5 years minimum experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, welding, and machine tool operation. Knowledge of process control systems. (i.e. utility control and measurement, steam water and air). Food industry experience, aseptic systems and other sterilization equipment Valid CA drivers license must be maintained. This position is considered a safety sensitive position, thus employee may be subjected to randomized drug testing You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to work overnight shift (6pm-4am). Travel & Location You will be fully onsite, and we ask that you travel approximately 15% of the time (often weekends). #LI-Onsite Why work at JBT ...
