Job Purpose
Manufactures various cake products in accordance with designated specifications; performs various job tasks of a repetitive nature in accordance with product type and production requirements; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy.
Essential Functions
+ Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies
+ Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices
+ Maintains regular throughput of product to the production line
+ Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis
+ Understands product specification and makes routine checks to verify equipment performance; adjusts equipment as needed.
+ Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to supervisor
+ Operates batter depositors and various continuous mixing systems
+ Operates automatic oven loading equipment; loads and unloads oven manually as required
+ Inspects pans for cleanliness and notifies supervisor when deficiencies are observed
+ Palletizes pans as directed o Monitors proper operation of pan greasing unit by maintaining proper grease levels
+ Inspects pans for proper grease coverage
+ Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.
+ Back up for this position is other Bakers, Sr. Bakers and Baking Lead
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
+ 18 years of age or older
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Basic Math skills
+ Must be able to read and write English
+ Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun
+ Demonstrates manual dexterity
+ Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis
+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment using both hands, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
+ Ability to work over 40 hours per week & 8 hours per day - ability to work overtime is required
+ Must be able to stand for a full shift
+ Must be able to work in a hot environment
+ Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
2nd Shift: Approx. 1 pm- 9:30 pm Monday through Friday; Mandatory Saturday Overtime occasionally
