SUMMARY:
Manages the operation and maintenance of the organization's motor vehicles. Oversees DOT, DMV and other regulatory compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet and drivers. Assists in overseeing site Logistics Managers and establishes policies and procedures. Manages fleet department budgets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
+ Manages all driver records ensuring compliance with all FMSCA and other regulatory requirements.
+ Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
+ Maintains all driver records electronically and current
+ Reviews capital equipment requisitions in line with corporate guidelines and objectives.
+ Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
+ Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets.
+ Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
+ Ensures Whitsons used repair shops are properly vetted and capable of handling the various fleet assets we retain.
+ Ensures vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
+ Complies with and ensures adherence to Whitsons standards and all federal and local regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
+ Monitors driver performance and implements training and improvement plans to accommodate issues with performance.
+ Meets all financial submission dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion.
+ Create and implement fleet management program, and related policies and procedures for owned and non-owned vehicles- with Safety Department
+ Work with HR to Interface fleet program with HR policies and procedures
+ Administration of Silent Passenger fleet tracking system in coordination with log
+ Responsible for reporting and follow up on all vehicle accidents and work along side our insurance company until all repairs are made. Sourcing rental units when required.
+ Manages EZ pass administration
+ Responsible for Vehicle maintenance and schedule of maintenance on entire fleet
+ Verify and input billing for fuel, EZ-Pass, Rentals, Lease, and any other related function ensuring the contract prices are being met and there is no fraud being committed.
+ Responsible for registering and licensing each vehicle, and ensuring that licenses are always up to date
+ Identify, source out and deliver training in coordination with Director of Talent Development
+ Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers.
+ Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement
+ Plan and prepare annual budget.
+ Ensures regular inspections on all vehicles
+ Manage and generate notifications for all vehicle recalls to field
+ Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs.
+ Conducts and/or schedules/attends and contributes to periodic driver/safety meetings /trainings to maintain excellent consistent working environment
+ Creates Metrics and KPI’s for Fleet
+ Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Preforms all other job duties as assigned
Salary for this position ranges - $85,000- $95,000 Annual
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
Certifications:
+ Valid Driver’s license
+ CAFM or CAFS certification highly desirable
Computer Skills:
+ Must be comfortable in all Microsoft Office applications
+ Strong excel experience required
Other Qualifications, Experience:
+ 7 years’ experience in Fleet Management with multiple types of vehicles and drivers
+ Must be organized and be able to multitask
+ Must possess excellent communication skills
+ Be able to travel interstate as needed
+ Bilingual Spanish helpful

+ Position may require extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-town travel. Must be able to drive his/her own vehicle to other work sites.

Typically Mon -Fri 7am-5pm some weekends and nights may be required.
