    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Senior Compensation Analyst – North America & Europe is a senior-level professional who is responsible for day-to-day management and client-facing support of the company’s global compensation programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high-level of professionalism, possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, have the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities and engage in new opportunities to learn. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Compensation & Benefits and partner closely with other Human Resources (HR) team members on compensation and HR data needs in the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Serve as a centralized resource for compensation information, reporting, planning, analysis, and advice in support of the global HR team.

    + Support the day-to-day compensation needs of the North America and Europe regions.

    + Participate in and lead projects to develop, implement, and monitor compensation programs including pay-for-performance, pay equity, salary structure creation and modeling, complex costing scenarios, incentive plans, etc.

    + Incorporate multiple survey sources to develop competitive benchmarking analysis and independently match and evaluate jobs based on market data.

    + Work with HR Business Partners to review job content and prepare job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements, serving as the global expert that ensures alignment of jobs across the organization.

    + Review proposed salary adjustments for alignment with the company’s established compensation guidelines, policies, and practices. Make recommendations on how to resolve business situations that are beyond guidelines.

    + Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related issues.

    + Responsible for annual global salary survey submissions to third-party compensation benchmarking survey providers.

    + Lead the global annual merit / salary planning process and short-term incentive calculations including system configuration and testing, data manipulation and audit, coordination with payroll, and development and distribution of individual employee communication. Prepare roll-up summary reporting for these programs.

    + Participate in and lead various global HR compensation related projects, such as global job title alignment and global salary grade development.

    + Conduct periodic audits to ensure data and integrity.

    + Develop analysis in support of global pay programs including analysis of equal pay, FLSA practices, incentive compensation and other bonus plans, and other HR KPI metrics.

    + Serve as a compensation subject matter expert in contributing to the design of SuccessFactors compensation planning tools.

    + Partner with Finance to develop quarterly incentive accruals and other estimates.

    + Assist with ad-hoc requests and prepare analysis through Excel.

    + Partnering with Stock Plan Administrator, serve as a back-up resource on global stock plan administration and E*TRADE support.

    + Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the company especially within HR and with the HR partners, talent acquisition (recruiting) and all levels of leadership.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    + Location: Onsite from Corporate Headquarters in Denver, CO

    + Environment: Standard, in-person first office environment

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Very strong excel skills with ability to develop interactive models with complex formulas.

    + Ability to obtain, verify and evaluate/interpret general and statistical information.

    + Strong decision making and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail.

    + Demonstrated ability to perform complex analysison large data sets; strong self-auditor.

    + Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives / projects while executing efficiently.

    + Self-driven, shows initiative to identify problems and resolve them.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Essential:

    + Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a compensation analyst.

    + Strong preference for experience working within an Engineering-centered organization(s).

    + Domestic (US) and International experience

    Desirable:

    + Previous experience dealing with compensation in EU countries.

    + Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors is a plus.

    + Prior experience working with Radford Survey data is preferred.

    EDUCATION:

    Essential:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

    Desirable:

    + Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) accreditation is strongly preferred.

    COMPENSATION:

    _As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 per year._
