**Shift** : 8:00am-5:00pm Hybrid (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite)

The role you will contribute:
The design intern participates in the design of innovation labs tracking projects through the various Design Thinking stages. The design intern leads projects as assigned by the Design Center Designer and Manager. The design intern will participate in building a creative, open and productive culture at the AdventHealth Design Center and will work closely with other members of the team to ensure successful projects are completed.

+ Creative, strategic approach to problem resolution. Ability to innovate and use of creative tools to develop new products and services
+ Work with the Design Center Designer and Manager to develop highly effective and engaging innovation labs
+ Work closely with Design Center Team to ensure an inspiring, creative, open and productive environment
+ Develop prototypes as directed by Design Center Designer and Manager
+ Support primary research: development of research stimulus, observational note taking, note taking in focus groups and interviews.
+ Ability to conduct secondary research: online, competitive analysis, trends, data analytics, white papers and industry reports.
+ Seek out and participate in educational opportunities to learn new, creative approaches to facilitation, design thinking, prototyping, innovation, etc.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design is incorporated into the co-creation process as appropriate
+ Work independently on projects as assigned by Design Center designer and manager
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
+ High School Grad or Equiv **Required**
+ Strong storytelling skills with the ability to develop highly visual and engaging presentations. Ability to sketch, develop information graphics, use of photography, video, and highly polished visualizations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve desired results
+ Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations; self-motivated and resourceful
+ Analytical, creative, and strong interpersonal skills
+ Knowledge of design thinking/human centered design
+ Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed deadlines
+ Ability to work well with cross functional teams
+ Strong presentation skills
+ Knowledge of Theory U (work by C. Otto Scharmer)
+ Knowledge of healthcare administration
+ Skilled in the arts (acting, music, poetry)
+ Skilled in improvisation
+ General Business knowledge
