    Description

    SAIC is looking for a **Waterjet and CNC Engineer** to work on a contract located in Hanahan, SC.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Will be primarily tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration task to include metal work, welding, and reviewing the customers drawings and providing feedback.

    + Provide assistance to related support areas, including but not limited to kitting, logistics, and quality.

    + Will need to be able to read and understand metal fabrication drawings and define plans to perform additive and subtractive manufacturing functions.

    + Support engineering activities such as design, test, and fabrication.

    + Work safely in a Machine Shop environment.

    + Communicate with leadership, other team members, and the customer.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Associates in related discipline and one (1) year related experience; OR High School and two (2) year related experience.

    Required Experience:

    + Must be able to safely complete all the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:

    + Experience operating a water jet and other CNC machining tools.

    + Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.

    + Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, or squatting for extended periods.

    + A familiarity with machine shop equipment, quality tools, or hand tools needed for metal work.

    + Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.

    + Able to obtain a Forklift License.

    + Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

    Required Clearance:

    + US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Active DOD clearance accepted.
