What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Center Support & Custodial Assistant, you’ll play a key role in both classroom support and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our learning environment. This hybrid role ensures our center runs smoothly, stays clean, and remains a welcoming space for children, families, and staff. Responsibilities include:

Facility Support Duties:

+ Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in classrooms, halls, restrooms, lobby, and staff areas

+ Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, sinks, counters, and fixtures

+ Wiping down tables and high-touch surfaces

+ Cleaning interior glass and windows

+ Performing general custodial tasks to maintain a hygienic, safe environment

+ Completing nightly cleaning tasks outside of regular operating hours (2–3 hours, Mon–Fri)

Classroom Support Duties (During Operating Hours):

+ Assisting lead teachers in the classroom with supervision and basic instruction

+ Maintaining a warm, clean, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years

+ Helping with classroom decorations, setup, and light organization

+ Interacting with children to promote participation and development

+ Communicating effectively with parents/guardians as needed

Requirements:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ 1+ years of cleaning experience preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

+ Customer service skills and a warm, friendly demeanor

+ Ability to multitask, work independently, and stay organized

+ Able to lift up to 50 lbs

+ Must meet state criteria for child care employment

+ Proficiency in functional written and oral English
