    Responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The Senior Scientific Communications Specialist is responsible for executing global scientific communication strategies that effectively translate complex clinical data into clear, accurate, and compelling narratives. This role serves as a strategic liaison between clinical, regulatory, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure scientific consistency and alignment across all platforms and audiences. The position plays a key role in developing high-impact content for publications, congresses, training, and regulatory submissions, while actively engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and monitoring the competitive landscape to inform future strategies. The Senior Specialist ensures all materials meet regulatory standards and supports global alignment of scientific messaging across regional markets, contributing to successful product launches and long-term brand credibility.

    Responsibilities:

    + Influence the development of scientific communication strategies that align with global business objectives, regulatory requirements, and evolving industry trends. Use strategies to shape the narrative to key clinical data releases, ensuring scientific consistency across multiple communication platforms.

    + Liaison with biostatisticians and clinical teams to interpret complex clinical trial data. Shape and refine the narrative for key clinical data releases, ensuring scientific rigor, clarity, and consistency across multiple communication platforms (publications, congress presentations, regulatory submissions).

    + Identify and engage KOL who will present or participate in panel discussions on behalf of the company. Attend major international and regional congresses (such as TCT, PCR, ACC, ESC, SIR, etc.) to provide on-site scientific support. Capture key insights and trends from presentations, panel discussions, and competitor activities to inform future communication strategies.

    + Create and refine scientific communications including but not limited to abstracts, oral and poster presentations, training materials, and other documents to align with the company's scientific and commercial messaging.

    + Regularly update education collateral, perform literature research, along with creating and maintaining a literature library.

    + Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all scientific materials (e.g., manuscripts, presentations) adhere to relevant regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, EMA, PMDA).

    + Collaborate with regional marketing, sales, and medical affairs teams to develop tailored training programs for different international markets. Support the alignment of global and local scientific messaging to ensure consistency in how clinical data is communicated across different markets.

    + Responsible for competitive landscape monitoring and synthesis

    + Create high-quality written, visual and hybrid deliverables that effectively communicate complex technical concepts for the appropriate technical or non-technical audiences – including posters, slide decks, investor materials, FAQ, and more.

    + Provide guidance on scientific approaches for new product launches, ensuring that clinical data is communicated with clarity and impact.

    Expected Areas of Competencies:

    + Proficient in translating complex scientific concepts into accessible language for various audiences.

    + Proficient in analyzing complex clinical data, evaluating trends, and synthesizing findings into actionable communication strategies.

    + Strong project management skills; able to independently manage multiple projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.

    + Deep understanding of the medical device industry, including relevant regulations, trends, and market dynamics.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, content creation software, and reference management tools.

    + High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining scientific integrity in content and communication.

    + Proactive in identifying communication gaps, proposing and implementing solutions.

    + Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate data and influence communication strategies.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including KOLs and scientific leaders.

    Qualifications

    Requirements, Qualifications & Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in scientific communications, medical affairs, medical writing, or clinical marketing within medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare industry, or related fields.

    + Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Sciences, or related field. Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MD) preferred.

    + Combined education and experience will be considered.

    + Ability to travel domestically and internationally, estimated 25% travel

    + Experience in the medical device industry or cardiovascular/endovascular field a plus.
