Assistant Billing Manager

POSITION: WCMHS is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Billing Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing department. This role includes supervising billing staff, resolving issues as they arise, and serving as a backup for both the Billing Manager and staff when needed. The Billing Supervisor must be knowledgeable in all billing processes, including electronic health records, revenue processing systems, and Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver regulations. Responsibilities include analyzing accounts receivable reports, processing manual billing and payments, reconciling cash summaries, and maintaining accurate records for school-based case rate billing. The role also involves assisting with system-related questions and corrections and responding to inquiries from clients and staff regarding accounts. Strong organizational skills, analytical ability, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this position. QUALIFICATIONS: The Assistant Billing Manager’s education and work experience will include:

+ Bachelor’s degree or;

+ 5 or more years of experience in the medical billing field.

+ 2 years of supervisory experience

Additional requirements for this position include:

+ Knowledge of computerized billing systems.

+ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and excellent all-around computer capabilities.

+ Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with clients, WCMHS staff, and other professionals.

+ Commitment to the WCMHS mission and positive regard for individuals accessing services.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This full-time position offers a non-exempt hourly wage of $24.72/hr and excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement/student loan assistance; generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b)-retirement plan with employer match.
