Physical Medicine & Rehab office looking for a Per diem Medical Office Associate to help during patient hours. Schedule will be based on the needs of the office.

Responsible for providing day-to-day support operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service to patients. Medical office associate manages both the front and back of the office, including billing support, scheduling, coding, patient communication, and filing

Principal Accountabilities:

Phone Coverage: Answer, handle, phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.

Scheduling: Using general scheduling guidelines appropriately schedule patient appointments selecting appropriate visit type/length of visit. May be required to schedule meetings for physicians.

Registration: Greets patient promptly upon arrival to practice. Accurately collects and documents time of-service payments.

Verifies/collects: demographics, emergency contact information, and insurance information. Correctly registers patients in system, including registration paperwork.

EMR: Accurately enters information into EMR. Uses EMR for prescriptions, phone notes, referrals, outreach, check-out, et

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. 2+ years' of medical administrative experience

Preferred:

1. Associate's degree in medical office management, Business, or related field.

2. 1 year of experience in a medical office environment or relevant area.
