    PeopleReady Skilled Trades now has an office in Columbus and is ready to hire! We are looking for Carpenters for projects in Columbus, Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.

     

    _Note: The hourly rate for this position is $22 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.     Responsibilities:

    + Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics

    + Prepare the layout and scope of work for the project

    + Install metal and wood framing and roof truss components

    + Using hand and electric tools to cut and fabricate and install framework components

    + Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks and props, using hand tools

    + Shape and cut materials to specific measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws

    + Install doors, windows, stairs, baseboards, and crown molding

    + Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, finishing interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures

    + Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard

    + Follow established safety rules and regulations

    + Maintain a safe and clean environment

    Qualifications:

    + Must have Right To Work Documents for Employment in the US

    + Have 6+ months of experience in the commercial/ residential field

    + Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repetitively

    + Walk, move, bend, twist, ,stand, and lift for a long periods of time

    + Own basic hand tools and work boots

    + We provide PPE

    + Have reliable & consistent transportation to and from work

    + Must be able to provide verifiable work references at the time of application
