    Job Summary

    The Lead Interventional Radiology Specialist will provide leadership and is responsible for the effective ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency of Interventional Radiology. The Lead Interventional Radiology Specialist will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures. The Lead Interventional Radiology Specialist will spend 95% of time in direct patient care.

    Qualifications

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.

    + Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab, required.

    + Licensure/certification/registration:

    + Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography, required.

    + Certified and registered by ARRT in Cardiovascular Interventional or Vascular Interventional – RT(R)(CV) or RT(R)(VI) within 6 months of hire, required.

    + IV Credentialed, required.

    + Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.

    + Applicable state license, required.

    + Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skill validation and competency testing. Exhibits leadership characteristics to include: listening to gain understanding, keeps promises made, supports the organization in word and deed, supports the staff, communicates effectively and asks for feedback, makes fair decisions based on the needs of all staff, shares knowledge to improve and challenge staff to be their best, treats others with fairness and respect, visualizes the big picture for the department as we relate to the organization, creates a personal connection with staff that fosters mutual respect, has a work ethic which is a model for the staff and motivates staff through encouragement and vision for the department.
