Reach Truck Operator

Shift and Pay Rates:

+ 1st Shift: 5a - 3:30p, $17.50/hr

+ 2nd Shift: 4p - 2:30a, $19.50/hr

**Job Description:** The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently, handling all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly, maintaining warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping, loading/unloading of truck/trailers and outside carriers safely, ensuring all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly. Additionally, this role includes working from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers, following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

+ Assists Warehouse Manager for efficient warehouse operations.

+ Operates Reach Truck forklift and/or EPJs.

+ Understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.

+ Loads/unloads trucks safely with proper procedures.

+ Picks and moves stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs multiple times.

+ Maintains warehouse organization.

+ Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.

+ Reports accidents/incidents immediately to Shift Supervisor.

+ Maintains access to dock doors.

Qualifications:

+ 3-6 months of forklift driving experience using Reach Truck forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.

+ High School Diploma or GED; warehousing certifications are a plus.

**Additional Skills** :

+ Good communication and problem resolution skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
