Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company (VERSANT) comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. VERSANT will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. Although you’ll be hired as an NBCU employee, your employment and the responsibilities associated with this job will transition to VERSANT in the future. VERSANT is looking for a Sr. Director / Director, HR Initiatives & Knowledge Management to join their team! The Sr. Director / Director, HR Initiatives & Knowledge Management will report to the SVP, HR, Corporate and will partner with key stakeholders and internal subject matter experts to develop, strategize and help drive cross-company corporate HR initiatives that impact the HR community and/or the VERSANT employee population. In collaboration with functions such as legal, IT and communications, the Sr. Director / Director will act as a knowledgeable resource to inform project teams on the HR generalist and/or employee perspective and process as programs are being considered and developed.
The Sr. Director / Director will also lead projects for the HR community, which may include employee policy review, employee data privacy and storage, emergency preparedness planning, contractor review, HR disaster recovery planning, onboarding and off boarding, etc. This role will work closely with HR colleagues at all levels to help build project teams and consensus across the division.
Responsibilities:
+ Identify opportunities to improve, enhance or change existing HR and/or employee policies, procedures and processes
+ Partner with the HR for HR team in the roll out / training of new policies, procedures and processes
+ Act as a resource and subject matter expert in HR/employee policies, procedures and processes
+ Lead project management of initiatives creating internal teams, getting stakeholder buy-in, meeting deadlines and staying within approved budgets
+ Be knowledgeable and up-to-speed on business changes, acquisitions, divestitures, and other large-scale changes that may require support from corporate HR
+ Act as the key HR point person for other functions when they are developing projects for the VERSANT employee population
+ Partner closely with internal subject matter experts from other functions (legal, communications, IT, etc.) in the development and launch of cross-company initiatives
+ Create detailed, realistic project plans and be adaptable to changes happening across the company
+ Identify ways to measure impact and success of improvements, enhancements and changes
+ Build strong relationships with members of the HR community and other key members of legal, IT, communications
What you’ll need:
+ 7+ years of professional HR experience including some experience leading large scale initiatives
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired Characteristics:
+ Solid project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
+ Experience in the media industry and/or knowledgeable about media culture
+ HR generalist experience and culture carrier
+ Sense of urgency and ability to drive initiatives from start to finish
+ Proven business acumen and business partnership with the ability to establish credibility and rapport with all levels of employees
+ Demonstrated ability to lead change and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, matrix environment
+ Critical thinking skills and ability to concisely represent a point of view
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
+ Ability to flex and adapt to ever changing business needs

Eligibility Requirements:
+ Must be willing to work overtime when required
+ Must be willing to travel for work related business if necessary
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $175,000 - $210,000 (bonus and LTI eligible).
